Privacy Policy

TrueSolve LLC ("CareerCanopy", "we", "us") operates the CareerCanopy mobile app and the careercanopy.ai website. This page summarises how we collect and use information. We will replace this with the full legal policy ahead of public launch.

What we collect

• Account information you give us (email, name).
• Conversation content with the AI companion, stored so the experience can stay continuous between sessions.
• App usage events (PostHog, when enabled), error reports (Sentry).
• Website analytics (Google Analytics 4), described in detail below.

Website analytics

The careercanopy.ai marketing website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages visitors find useful. We have configured it for minimum data collection:

• IP anonymisation is on — the last octet of your IP is zeroed before Google processes the event.
• Google Signals (cross-site personalisation) is off. We do not share data with Google's ad network.
• Ad personalisation signals are off. We do not use website data for retargeting.
• Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are honoured. If your browser sends either signal, Google Analytics is not initialised at all — no events are sent.

We may also use PostHog (a product-analytics tool) for funnel measurement when enabled. The PostHog setup, when active, captures explicit page views and a small set of named events (CTA clicks, email link clicks). It does not record sessions, does not auto-capture, and does not profile anonymous visitors. It also honours Do Not Track.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to distinguish visitors. PostHog, when active, sets a single ph_ cookie. No third-party advertising cookies. No tracking pixels.

Waitlist email

When you submit your email to the launch list at /start, we store it in our database along with a hashed version of your IP address for spam-prevention and the referring page that brought you there. We use this only to send one launch announcement. After launch, the waitlist is retired and the stored emails are deleted within ninety days.

What we do not do

• We do not sell user data.
• We do not share data with recruiters or job boards.
• We do not run advertising on the app or the website.
• We do not train third-party AI models on your conversations.
• We do not use website analytics data for retargeting or ad personalisation.

Your data, your choice

You can request a copy of your data or full deletion at any time by emailing [email protected] . We honour CCPA, GDPR, and equivalent rights regardless of your location.

To opt out of website analytics specifically, enable Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser, or install a tracker-blocking extension like uBlock Origin. Our analytics setup respects both signals.

AI processing

Conversation content is processed by a third-party large language model API to power the companion. Our provider does not retain inputs for training under our terms. API credentials are held server-side and never touch your device.

Children

CareerCanopy is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
